Privacy Policy

Parlourbook is operated by Long Bui trading as Parlourbook, ABN pending ("we", "our", or "the app"). Parlourbook is a mobile application for managing schedules, walk-ins, payments, staff, and clients for service-based businesses. This Privacy Policy explains how Parlourbook handles your information.

1. Data Storage

Parlourbook is an offline-first application. All data you enter — including business details, staff information, client records, bookings, and payment records — is stored locally on your device using an on-device SQLite database.

We do not operate servers that receive, store, or process your business data. Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export it (e.g. PDF exports or CSV files).

2. Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect personal information you enter into the app (e.g. client names, phone numbers, business data).
We do not track your location.
We do not use cookies or advertising identifiers.
We do not share data with third parties for advertising or marketing.

We do collect limited crash and error data via Sentry (see Section 3) to maintain app stability. This data does not include your business data or personal information.

3. Third-Party Services

Parlourbook uses the following third-party services:

RevenueCat — to process in-app purchases (upgrading to Pro). RevenueCat receives only the purchase transaction data required by Apple and Google to complete the purchase. RevenueCat's privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy.
Sentry — to collect crash reports, error data, and performance traces so we can identify and fix bugs. Sentry receives device information (model, OS version), error stack traces, and performance metrics. It does not receive your business data, client records, or personal information. We have disabled session replay for regular sessions. Sentry's privacy policy is available at sentry.io/privacy.
Apple App Store / Google Play Store — the platform through which you download the app and make purchases. These platforms handle payment processing under their own privacy policies.

4. SMS Messaging

Parlourbook can send SMS messages (e.g. booking confirmations, reminders) using your device's native messaging capability. SMS messages are sent directly from your device. We do not route messages through our servers and do not have access to message content or recipient phone numbers.

Carrier charges may apply. Standard SMS rates from your mobile carrier apply when sending messages. You are responsible for obtaining appropriate consent from your customers before sending them SMS messages via the app.

5. Biometric Authentication

Parlourbook supports Face ID, Touch ID, and fingerprint authentication to secure access to the app. Biometric data is handled entirely by your device's operating system. We never access, store, or transmit biometric data.

6. Data Backup and Deletion

Since all data is stored on your device, your data is included in your device's standard backup process (e.g. iCloud backup, Google backup). To delete all Parlourbook data, simply uninstall the app from your device.

7. Children's Privacy

Parlourbook is a business management tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. Data Retention

Local data on your device is retained until you uninstall the app or manually delete it. Third-party services retain data as follows:

RevenueCat — retains purchase data in accordance with their privacy policy.
Sentry — retains crash and error data for 30–90 days depending on the data type and plan configuration.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Access — request a copy of data we hold about you.
Rectification — request correction of inaccurate data.
Erasure — request deletion of your data.
Restriction — request that we limit how we process your data.
Portability — request your data in a portable format.
Objection — object to our processing of your data.

Since Parlourbook stores your business data locally on your device, most of these rights are satisfied automatically — you have full control over your data at all times. For data held by third-party services (RevenueCat, Sentry), please contact us at support@parlourbook.app and we will assist with your request.

If you are in the EU/UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. If you are in Australia, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
